One Year Later

Believe it or not, it has been just over a year since we left Michigan back on April 9, 2018. We are heading back to Michigan to see family and friends. John’s niece is getting married to a very nice young man and we want to be there with them.

Had a blessed 2018 summer with all of the grandbabies and with all of our kids. We were able to see some new country the God created, meet a great bunch of new friends in AZ, made it across the bottom of the nation, over to the East Coast to see family and friends, and then back up to Michigan. Dreamed a lot about doing this over the years, had put it in the very back of my thoughts because it just didn’t seem like it would be a reality. But, here we are…. On the road. Some days are better than others, but for the most part, glad we are still able to move forward.

We left Bucyrus, OH this morning… Sunset Springs RV Resort was beautiful, peaceful and the owners are amazing, accommodating, and a hard-working couple. They are working hard to improve the park daily. You are only 15 minutes from shopping, restaurants, churches and/or entertainment. All the basics that you need in life, right? Thank you Cassie for everything. Next time I will be in better health and able to play my guitar and sing for you.

And to one of our all time favorite couples, thank you Ron and Peg so much for your hospitality and friendship. It was great to spend some time with you and your family. See you later in Alpena. Warm up those fingers Ron, jam session scheduled for our return. LOL!

Just a few of my favorite photos along the way. When you have been to as many places as we have, you can really put it into perspective, how much we are just a speck on this earth. But to God, we are so important. Each and every life He loves tremendously. It’s up to us to make a choice in life, whether right or wrong to follow or not to follow.

What does our future hold? Not completely sure, that’s up to the Creator. Hoping to visit family and friends for the next few months and then head back to AZ, where we will stay for the winter again. It is definitely a better place for climate, for those who suffer from RA. I’m living proof of that. Didn’t think it was helping…. until we headed East. The more humidity, the more pain in my joints I would experience. UGG!

Well, until next adventure. Keep looking for your dreams and pursue them as soon as possible. Life is too short. For you prayer warriors out there, please continue your prayers for us. Remember to tell your friends about us and share our address with them.
